The Deputy Minister of Agriculture 1 of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Theresa T. Dick held a strategic meeting with the Regional Director of LuLu Group to explore opportunities for exporting Sierra Leonean agricultural products to LuLu markets across the GCC region.
Discussions focused on positioning Sierra Leone as a reliable exporter of agro-produce, including ginger, cocoa, and other high-value crops, to LuLu’s regional supply chain. LuLu Group expressed interest in sending a technical delegation to Sierra Leone to assess production capacity, quality standards, and export readiness, with a view to potentially integrating Sierra Leonean producers into its exporter network.
The meeting also highlighted Sierra Leone’s growing investment in cold room storage facilities and produce transportation logistics, including shipment options to Qatar, aimed at preserving product quality and ensuring efficient delivery.
Both parties welcomed continued engagement to strengthen trade relations, promote value-added agriculture, and expand Sierra Leone’s access to international retail markets.
