The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Doha, State of Qatar, advises all Sierra Leone Nationals resident in Qatar to exercise heightened caution and to strictly follow all instructions issued by the Government of Qatar and relevant authorities.

Immediate Safety Measures
- Remain at home and avoid unnecessary movements, unless absolutely essential.
- Avoid military, security, and sensitive installations and surrounding areas.
- Monitor official announcements from Qatari Authorities through verified channels.
- Do not gather, film, or circulate images/videos of security-related incidents.
- Stay calm and maintain situational awareness
Personal Preparedness
- Keep mobile phones fully charged.
- Maintain essential supplies at home, including water, food and baby items.
- Keep passports, Qatar residential identification cards, and important documents safely accessible.
Family and Community Coordination
- Confirm the safety and whereabouts of all household members.
- Establish regular check-in arrangements with family members.
- Reach out to vulnerable members of the Sierra Leone Community where possible.
Travel Advisory
- Avoid non-essential travel until the situation stabilizes.
- Confirm flight status directly with airlines before proceeding to the airport.
- Retain travel documentation for rebooking or insurance purposes.
Emergencies
- Qatar Emergency Services: 999 (Police, Ambulance, Fire).
- In case of immediate danger, move to an interior room away from windows and remain calm.
